Event Overview
The mobile phone has transmorphed from a basic voice calling, message sending, music playing device to an allpowerful infotainment and utility tool with seemingly endless potential.

If the first phase of the telecom revolution was about voice connectivity, the next that is about to begin would be driven by data transfer. Up to 60 percent of revenue growth is expected to have been driven by data services and VAS in 2011. Mobile broadband is poised for a greater than 100 percent CAGR until 2017. Factors like poor broadband penetration (base year penetration of 1 percent), availability of smart devices, next-generation network rollouts, inexpensive spectrum, sizeable subscriber base, etc., have put the sector on an unprecedented growth trajectory. Poor fiber connectivity and cost-effectiveness of wireless technology as an access medium will further aid the growth of mobile broadband in the country. Innovative content and operators’ need to improve customer services for user retention amid increasing competition and falling ARPUs will drive the growth of VAS and mobile broadband.

Capitalizing on the growth opportunity and addressing the inherent challenges require a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the growth trajectory for each stakeholder, along with the issues plaguing them and the ways of optimizing the solutions. To achieve this, collective thoughts on successful identification and implementation of best-inclass services and business models in the mobile broadband space need to flow across the entire ecosystem.

The 2012 Mobile Broadband Summit aims to convene the best minds in the telecom and broadband ecosystem under one roof to create an interactive milieu for exchange of knowledge and ideas.

The event will focus on growth opportunities for mobile broadband ecosystem stakeholders and give a clear perspective on the future trends and opportunities in the industry. It will also address management issues facing the stakeholders today and challenges to overcome in building an effective collaborative workspace. This is your chance to gain an understanding of the opportunities and key tools, techniques, and strategies to successfully tap the same.
